For all the girls who would love to travel alone to Guca but have doubts and hesitate: DO IT! You can go to Guca, there is nothing dangerous or unsafe. Above all the journey organized by the agency is really appropriate for this kind of adventure, and perfect! I first heard about Guca Festival… 10 years ago, while I was in another festival in Surdurica, south of Serbia. For the last 10 years, I have had been thinking I would come one day to Guca… and in 2013 I eventually made It! I travelled alone from France, with several stopovers in the countries I had to cross. As I arrived in Serbia, I was of course kind of exited by the idea of going to Guca with a group of people who would share the same passion for music. However I was not expecting such a good organization. From the transportation to the accommodation, all was perfect. The agency ( special thanks to natasa and Dejan) is flexible enough and let one flexibility to design the trip according to one's own schedule, and that the same time they are available enough to answer any kind of questions and solve any kind of problems related to the journey ! I had to chance to be in the best family in town, with the nicest roommates I could have met. Though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely and met the right people to share my passion for music, for discussions, and for dance of course! It is hard to describe the atmosphere in the street, in the bars and restaurants, in the stadium during the concerts… I just felt that I was the character of one’s of Kusturica’s film during 4 whole days, and that’s good for the mood ☺ And because nothing’s perfect, I just would like to mention that It is a pity that they are so much pop and modern music at every corners, that gives the festival an atmosphere that is not in the spirit of the festival any more. And too much advertising everywhere and commercials even during concerts… But that’s unfortunately just the evolution of our world…. Anyway, you'll find me there again next year !
