The leader of the GOLD MELOS BRASS BAND, trumpet player Bojan Ristic comes from the family of top brass band musicians, located in Vladicin Han ( south Serbia ). His grandad, top drumer Zivojin Ristic took part in gathering plenty of medals for the brass band of trumpet master Junuz Ismailovic. Zoran Ristic, Bojan's father followed family tradition playing drum with brass bands of Mica Petrovic, Svetozar Lazovic, Radojko Vitezovic, Boban Markovic etc. With him (and them) Bojan made his first steps in music. First appearance on stage in Surdulica (1997) brought Bojan's band a title of the best young brass band. The band won a Second prize in Guca 2000. And the First prize for young bands in Guca 2002. Same year, on the Wine Bowl in Vlasotince, the Brass band of Bojan Ristic was entitled the best brass band, and in Gadzin Han, a the brass band festival - too. The beat goes on ...

Šef orkestra Zlatni Melos potiče iz porodice vrhunskih muzičara iz Vladičinog Hana ( Južna Srbija). Njegov deda Živojin Ristić - vrhunski bubnjar i majstor trube Junuza Ismailovića doprinosio je osvajanju brojnih nagrada i priznanja. Otac Zoran, takođe bubnjar nastavio je porodičnu muzičku tradiciju nastupajući u orkestrima Miće Petrovića, Svetozara Lazovića, Radojka Vitezovića, Bobana Markovića i drugih vrhunskih trubača. Uz njega ( i njih) i mali Bojan je učio muzički zanat. Na svom prvom nastupu u Surdulici 1997. Bojanov orkestar bio je najbolji u kategoriji mladih orkestara. Na Saboru trubača u Guči 2000. godine osvojio je drugu, a 2002. godine prvu nagradu u kategoriji mladih orkestara. Iste godine, na Vinskom balu u Vlasotincu, a takođe i na festivalu u Gadžinom Hanu, orkestar Bojana Ristića proglašen je za NAJBOLJI ORKESTAR
