2008 Year - NEW Boban Markovic

The group’s new album”BRASS MADNESS”,
After the Kusturicas movie “Underground”, Boban Markovic has unlished the trumpet madness to the world.
Him and his band had practice a lot to make the brand which he has now, they have fine tuned the trumpet music and raised it to the orchestral level.
His world wide fame came with a lot of sweat. But his will to make the music better and perfect gave all of us opportunity to listen the great sound of him, and his band.
The blood proves to be great inherent, so his son is also a great trumpet player, playing with the father in the band.
Markovic also compose music. He is always a guest of honor in the Guca, and usually has a concert in the city square, which brings joy to in the harts of all the people listening to it.
He has published many albums and is always on the “run”, playing all over the globe.
He is the true son of the Serbian brass music.

***Handing over the orchestra to his son, Marko, on his eighteenth birthday, Boban Markovic has wisely introduced new blood and gained a unique mix of youth and experience. The group’s new album”BRASS MADNESS”, released in November 2007, is a shining example of new trends – learning from their experience of working with Shantel, one of World Music’s finest international producers, the father and son team have created a sound unique to the genre. At the same, the maturity of the whole set is obvious, so that on the album we can find an eclectic mix of styles, from funk worthy of our own jazz legend Mica Markovic, through a fantastic fusion of gypsy brass and latino beats, to exquisite interpretations of classic Roma music like Bubamara (Ladybird) and Kalashniko***
